Elf on a Shelf

Meet Zac, the elf on a shelf. He is Santa's helper. He reports to Santa every night about Tyler and Ava's behavior after they go to bed. Then Zac comes back each morning in a different spot. The kids have to find him. They can talk to him but they can't touch him. He is supposed to come out on Thanksgiving but we needed him a little earlier this year. Last night the kids went right to bed and stayed there because Zach was watching! Especially, Ava who normally gets up about 10 times before she falls asleep. We love you Zac!

Red Cast

There's Tyler with his 3 casts. The doctor was happy with his adjustment of Tyler's wrist so as of now no surgery. Tyler will go back to the doctor in 2 weeks to see how it is doing. Wish us luck the next x-ray looks good too!

Blue Cast

On Friday, Tyler went back to the doctor for another x-ray. It wasn't good news. The cast did not hold Tyler's wrist in place. The next step is basically to have it re-broken and put back into the proper placement. On Tuesday (today), we will go to the doctor and he will "re-adjust" his wrist in the office. If that doesn't work, it will be re-adjusted during surgery. If that doesn't work they will do surgery again and place rods in the wrist to hold it in place.

Where Would You Go?

Tyler got all S's and 3's on his report card! If you could pick anywhere to go and celebrate, where would it be? Bass Pro Shop, duh (in Tyler's words)! Life couldn't be any "fishier" for the future Professional Bass Fisherman!

Trip #6 to Our Local ER! Seriously? Seriously!!!

Here we go again! On Thursday after school, Tyler was playing at our neighborhood park. He was playing tag with the other kids, like they do everyday, and he fell backwards from the steps on the play equipment and landed on his wrist. He broke 2 bones! He was so good and really didn't complain too much. We were so proud of him.

On Friday, he went to the Orthopedic doctor and she put a cast on him. The doctor then popped his wrist back into place. Hopefully, the cast holds it in the correct position and no surgery will be necessary. Next Friday, his wrist will be x-rayed again to check the progress.

Tyler loves his orange cast!

Ava Did It!

Ava had a successful trip to the dentist. She opened her mouth and let them clean away! She did a great job!
