What a day! The big Super Mario and Princess Peach Party was here. Jeff and I had spent hours getting ready and were thrilled my parents were here to help with the finishing touches! Everything was going as planned. I had moved everything we needed into the office so we wouldn't forget anything. First, we had a soccer game to go to and then back home to set up for the party. Well, while we were gone, Pickles had a blast going thru all the eggs, 260 of them, looking for chocolate. She managed to eat 40 chocolate bars. She had eggs all over. She did not open the ones with the coins or stickers in. I was in shock and forgot to take a picture! After the clean up we were back on schedule!
When the children arrived they were able to decorate a princess crown or put a mario hat on with a mustache.
All the activities:
Princess Peaches' Treasure Hunt: the kids went looking for easter eggs filled with candy, coins and stickers. The eggs with smiley faces won a prize.
Mario's Dance Off: the kids did a dance off. When the music stopped they had to freeze or leave the game.
Next, was singing Happy Birthday and eating hot dogs, cheese balls, and the 1 up Mushroom Cupcakes.
Balloon Pop: all the kids got a balloon and sat on it to pop it. They were filled with gold coins. The most gold coins won.
Pin the Crown on Princess Peach and Pin the Mustache on Mario: closest wins a prize.
Last but not Least the Pinata!
Wow, what a day. Check out the slideshow for all the pictures. Thanks Alisha for taking all of them for us.

It saddend me looking at these photos because we were so excited about getting to see you guys and forgot about the party.
I put the invitation in my bible thinking there was no way that I would forget it since I usually always am reading my bible. Then things got crazy family came into town and my routine was messed up. It was late Saturday night I had some kidney pain and thought about Jeff and that made me feelo worse as i soon realized we had missed it. I went straight to my bible and round it there. Even felt bad that I hadnt looked at my bible in a few days.
I also wasnt aware that this was a birthday party. We will maek it up to the kids somehow.
Love and Prayers,
Tim
What a great party! The mustaches are the best :) I love Princess Peach and am looking for some good ideas for a party I'm having. You might like to look at this site I found, that has some really neat ideas and lots of free downloads: http://www.chicaandjo.com/2010/05/20/princess-peach-from-super-mario-brothers-birthday-party/
I know I'm a few years late :) so I don't know if you"ll see this comment! But I was wondering how you made the Mario hats? Did you make them yourself? Did you buy them? Thx!
